Why CheckAnySite

The website check that shows its evidence

Enter any domain and see, in seconds, what it is: whether an AI builder made it, how popular it is, what it runs on, which trust signals it shows, what it does and how old it is. Every answer comes with what it rests on.

In one sentence

CheckAnySite is a free website checker that answers seven questions about any domain in one scan, shows the evidence behind every answer, and publishes how accurate it is: tested on 2,312 websites whose makers are known.

What makes it different

  • Evidence on every answer

Each finding shows exactly what it rests on: the line of the page, the response header, the DNS record or the public list, with its source and the date we read it. Every answer can be checked by anyone.

  • Accuracy we measure and publish

We test the AI detector on 2,312 websites whose makers we know. In the latest run (4 Oct 2026) it named the builder of 1,066 of 1,278 AI-built sites and wrongly flagged none of the other 1,034. The full test is public, misses included.

    Read the test
  • No invented numbers

Popularity is a band from public rankings (Tranco, Chrome UX Report and Majestic Million), never a visit count we can't measure. Every value is measured by us or taken from a named source; when there is no data, we say so.

  • Clear answers, no verdicts

When the evidence is clear, we say so plainly: High, Medium or None found, with the reason. We describe what a site shows, never the people behind it, and a site made with an AI builder can be entirely honest.

  • Every question in one scan

Traces of 53 AI builders, 665 technologies and builders recognised, popularity, trust signals, what the site is and who is behind it, its domain history, and a score with an open formula. Free, results in seconds.

    The tools
  • Real examples, not claims

Our pages of websites made with each AI builder list real sites, each with the trace we found, from our own scans.

    Websites made with AI builders
  • A polite, named scanner

CheckAnySiteBot says who it is, follows each site's robots.txt, signs its requests and never hammers a site.

    About our scanner
  • Corrected in the open

Anyone can report a wrong finding, and a person reviews it. Every change to what we look for, mistakes included, is in the public changelog.

What a site runs on, and whether an AI builder such as Lovable, Bolt or v0 made it, each with the line it was found in.
Researchers and journalists
Facts about a website you can cite: each with its source and the date it was read.
Site owners
How your site looks from the outside, and a way to correct what we got wrong.

Common questions

Is CheckAnySite accurate?

We measure it. On 2,312 websites whose makers we know, the AI detector named the builder of 1,066 of 1,278 AI-built sites and wrongly flagged none of the other 1,034. We publish the full test, misses included, and run it again whenever we change what we look for.

How is CheckAnySite different from other website checkers?

Most checkers give a score, a percentage or a verdict. We show the evidence behind each answer (the line, record or list, with its source and date), publish our measured accuracy, and never invent a number we can’t back, such as a visit count.

Is CheckAnySite free?

Yes. You can look up 5 sites a day without signing up, and every result page, shared or found through search, is free to open.

Can it tell if a website was made with AI?

Yes, when an AI site builder left traces: we know the traces of 53 AI builders, such as Lovable, Bolt and v0, and show the exact line where we find each. Code written with AI coding assistants leaves none, so “None found” never means a person built the site.

Where does the data come from?

From what anyone can see: the site's public pages and response headers, its DNS records, the domain registry, public rankings (Tranco, Chrome UX Report and Majestic Million), the Internet Archive, Wikidata and public security filters. Each answer names its source and date.

How each answer is found, and where it stops: How we know. Who runs CheckAnySite: About.
